Aspect ratio - The ratio of screen width to screen height. For TVs it is either 4:3 (1.33:1) or 16:9 (1.78:1). Theater film uses many different aspect ratios, some as high as 2.5:1.
Fine Pitch Picture Tube - A fine pitch picture tune has smaller, more tightly spaced phosphor dots than normal picture tubes to enable an image with much finer detail.
Hotsync - The process and software by which handheld computers synchronize/share information with a desktop computer
ISO - A measure of the light sensitivity of a piece of film or a digital sensor. The higher the ISO, the greater the sensitivity. ISO is one of three exposure controls on a digital camera, in addition to aperture and shutter speed selection. Each exposure control allows you to affect different image characteristics.
Noise - In image editing applications, a random pattern of unwanted pixels or pixel groupings called artifacts.
Pocket PC - Handheld operating system developed by Microsoft - generic term for handheld devices which run Windows CE.
Quick Change - This feature allows you to exchange CDs on a carousel player, while a CD is playing.
Spatially Equalized Speaker (SES) - System This system places the speakers inside acoustic chambers. The sound resonates through an acoustically matched baffle system, and projects through thin grilles on either side of the TV screen. This system allows for the use of larger speakers, providing greatly improved sound quality and proper sound imaging.
