Super Contrast Lens System - Hitachi's exclusive lens design. Multiple, wide aperture precision-molded acrylic/glass elements make up Hitachi's Super Contrast projection television lens assemblies. Special anti-reflective coatings are applied to the lens surfaces and the inside of the lens barrel is blackened to eliminate internal reflections in order to enhance contrast and color accuracy. Designed as a single, coordinated unit, Hitachi's CRT and lens system produces a sharper, brighter, higher contrast image everywhere on the screen.
